Key Insights

This self-assessment tool offers a simple process to 1) identify which sustainable practices would need to be implemented to run a sustainable agribusiness in a given space and 2) assess one's performance against key requirements of selected agricultural sustainable practices standards (Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, and Aquaculture Stewardship Council – ASC). The results of the self-assessment do not replace a full certification but serve as a guide to improve production practices and as a learning experience toward applying for and obtaining an official certification. The tool has been created for corporates and finance institutions operating in the agribusiness and aquaculture sectors interested in learning about sustainable production practices.
