Accelerating the Decarbonization of Heavy Industry in Latin America and the Caribbean: Introductory Note

This report is an introduction to the analysis of the possibilities to advance the decarbonization of heavy industry in Latin America and the Caribbean in the context of climate change, highlighting its importance, forms of production, energy intensity and CO2 emissions. It also presents a projection of its emissions to 2050, proposing possible decarbonization routes and a series of recommendations for those responsible for generating public policies.
